|If you live in the Denver area and would like to get a group together to do something fun, I'll do the driving in my bus. Colorado Adventure Mobile also has a bus and has organized tours from Denver.
Crested Butte is such a great place. I need to go visit again. I will try and throw together a page after my next visit. The only thing that I have time to write right now is that Donita's Cantina Mexican restaurant has great food and a fun atmosphere. It's located at 330 Elk avenue (the main street).
The Blue Moon Bakery is right off I-70 and a much better alternate to typical highway food. They have fresh sandwiches, wraps, and bagels, plus desserts of many types and fresh bread.
Take exit 205, Silverthorn/Dillon I think, and go south to the first mall on the right.
I don't know much about Avon, but I'll be stopping in to eat at Narayan's next time I'm headed west on 70.

I had been looking for Narayan's Restaurant in Boulder for months now, and finally found out, that they have moved to Avon. Here's why I wanted to go so badly:
"While Indian restaurants dot our landscape, Nepalese eateries are as rare as hen's teeth. In fact, when Narayan's opened in 1990, it was one of only three Nepalese restaurants in the United States. A year later, Narayan's was named as one of the top three vegetarian restaurants in America by the Vegetarian Journal." I still have not eaten there, because they are closed on Sundays, and that's when i'm usually driving back to denver.
Eli, Ray and I had a great time staying at the Strawberry Hot Springs in Steamboat Springs. It's $5 weekday days, and $10 evenings and weekends. They have some nice pay campsites, as well as a couple of little wagons. There are massage services and towel rental.

The next morning we had breakfast at Winona's. The food was great. The portions were a bit smaller than I had expected, but I was still full afterwards. I had a breakfast burrito and Ray had pankcakes. Eli had some sort of omellette. Everything was prepared perfectly.

Mathias just told me that there's a hotel in Monte Vista (southern Colorado), with a built in drive-in movie theater, called the Movie Manor! It's a Best Western, shaped like a V, with a big parking lot in the crotch of the V. All of the rooms have huge, maybe 4'x6', windows that face the screen, and audio is piped into the rooms! I'm definitely going to have to do an extra road trip, just to check it out.
It's 2 miles west of Monte Vista on 160 headed to Pagosa Springs. An Atlanta newspaper had an article on the hotel/drive-in: Inn's rooms come with a (movie) view

Kirsten and I spent a slushy morning here on our way to St. George for Spring Break. It's a nice little cafe, restaurant, ice cream parlor, candy and nut shop, and has sofas and internet!
Here's a very unorganized, repetetive, and possibly out-of-date list of vegetarian restaurants in Colorado. I'm only linking to it, because it has some places I've never heard of, and need to see if they still exist.
