pocket dictionary
Berlitz Danish-English Dictionary. It's a small dictionary but very complete and popular.
|
dictionary
Danish Dictionary: Danish-English, English-Danish.
It is one of the better Danish dictionaries, but it doesn't sound like any of them are great.
|
course (with cassette?)
Danish: A Complete Course for Beginners.
The reviews mentioned a cassette, but the description didn't. Based on what I read about the cassette, you'll barely need it. The book is supposed to be pretty good, but the cassette has too much English.

course with tapes
Hugo Language Course: Danish In Three Months (with Cassette).
|
course with tapes
Colloquial Danish (w/ audiocassette)
|
software course
Rosetta Stone Danish Explorer
Rosetta Stone courses are some of the best software courses that I have seen. They use a fairly simple formula with pictures and repetition that seems to work pretty well.

DVD (Danish audio)
Pusher (1997) A somewhat violent film from Denmark about small-time drug dealers who begin a downward spiral of bad desicions. Realistic characters and situations that Hollywood could never pull off. There really isn't much Danish cinema available in the US.
